TSM: Total Sorority Move. The most negative and stereotypical website for Greek Life, which makes sororities and fraternities easily targeted.
Take a minute to read this link, "30 Things I Learned My First Semester of College": http://totalsororitymove.com/30-things-i-learned-my-first-semester-of-college/
If you are too lazy or disgusted to read it, it is written by a girl who is giving her insight on all of the lessons she learned about partying during her fall semester. They all involve drinking excessively, hooking up with guys in fraternities and putting alcohol and a social life above all things, including school.
This article absolutely makes the typical "sorority girl" look careless, crazy and disrespectful of herself and others. As a member of a sorority at the University of Oregon, I am outraged to see articles like this. The Greek Life Community is constantly under fire by national organizations and local communities in college towns. It takes one article like this for an anti-Greek Life activist to prove why we should be banned from campuses across the United States.
It's ironic because every article on the site is (presumably) written by sorority members. If I didn't know any better, I would assume that the author of this article and many others on the website was mocking Greek Life. Obviously, there are many college students who spend a lot of their time partying, but associating this lifestyle with Greek Life and putting it on a sorority website is simply unintelligent. These are not the type of things that should be advertised and put all over social media. If girls want to party and make dumb decisions, that is perfectly fine with me, but keep it to yourself.
TSM does have some helpful and entertaining articles, however it's ones like this that make the website useless and ridiculous. I strongly disagree that this article represents a "Total Sorority Move."
Thoughts, comments and observations seen through the eyes of a 21-year old college student living an adventurous and never constant lifestyle. West Coast.

My two cents about "The Bay"
Everyone from the Bay Area seems to just refer to it as "The Bay." I am fine with it, I just don't really understand it because it is such a huge area. They say, "I'm really looking forward to be back in the bay!" Funny way to put it if you think about it literally...
Anyways, I absolutely love the Bay Area. It's also convenient that it is the perfect stopping place on the drive from So Cal to Oregon. I stayed with a good friend of mine who lives in Tiburon, which is a beautiful and very wealthy town in Marin County. She lives with her aunt in an epic house right on the water. If it wasn't so cold all the time I think Tiburon would be Heaven.
The evening that I arrived, my friend and I went to Cavallo Point, a spot near the Golden Gate Bridge, to watch the sunset. It's awesome how many lookout points there are to choose from in San Francisco. I have been to a few others in the past, but the cool thing about Cavallo Point is that you can see the whole bay and the city in the distance. There is also a restaurant there from which you can see the view perfectly. It's a great spot to grab a drink and some appetizers during sunset.
I have wanted to live in San Francisco since I was in 8th grade. My mom took me on a trip there, just the two of us, and I remember thinking, "I will live here someday."Something about the way of life there is so attractive to me. You go out at night and people are wearing jeans, tennis shoes, and sweaters, which is a drastic comparison to the nightlife in L.A. You go for a walk along the hilly streets and young people walking their dogs say hi to you with a smile. I saw pure joy in a man's face just from throwing a fishing net into the water. People there appear so laid back and down to earth, which is part of what makes the city so attractive to me. San Francisco has so much to offer and I have barely even scratched the surface in my four or five visits.
While I was only there for a mere 14 hours, I loved my time in "The Bay" and can't wait to go back soon. As far as the Nor Cal vs. So Cal rivalry, I have come to the conclusion that they're so different they shouldn't even be compared. I think we should just all agree that California is simply the best state in the country.
